Last year, Julie, me and a bag of twizzlers hit the road for a trip to New Orleans to attend Imaging USA, the photography conference by Professional Photographers of America. That trip had a profound effect on me. It opened my eyes to all the possibilities I could attain in my business. Shortly after returning, I quit my full time job and dove head first into full time photography. That was the best decision I ever made.
This weekend, I hit the road again for Imaging USA. By this evening, I’ll be in Atlanta with my friends Ned, Bradford and Jackson whom I met last years conference. They have been a wonderful inspiration to me and a huge support. Being around that many photographers is kinda like being a kid in Disney World, on crack. It’s overwhelming and brings me an insane amount joy. I can pretty much guarantee my face is going to hurt from all that smiling.
I’ll tell you all about it when I get home. For now, here is a look at Missy & Lee’s insanely gorgeous wedding. I am so grateful fellow photographer friend Robert Hill was able to shoot this wedding with me. He’s also going to Imaging USA and I’m excited to see how this trip will change his business too. It’s gonna be another great year!
Amy,
You did such an awesome job with all the photos. I am so pleased! I don’t know where to start to pick out my favorites. You captured the day in the photos which is exactly what we wanted. You have been so great with all of the photo sessions. The engagement session to begin with, the bridal/ballet session and then the wedding. You were right on every detail and delivered what we wanted. Thanks so much for everything!
