Romancing the Camera Part I
Marceliano Munoz lead Part One of our Hands on Photography Class at Imaging USA in New Orleans on Saturday January 14th. And it rocked. Jules and I got up super early so we could walk the 2.2 miles to the convention center in plenty of time. We were constantly distracted by the freshness of Bourbon Street at 6am. It was quite a dichotomy from the night before. We arrived with just enough time to make it class with our green admittance stickers displayed prominently on our badges. Apparently, you do need stinkin badges.
The class was a friendly bunch of photogs spreading from coast to coast. There were varying degrees of experience but the high level of excitement was the same across the board. Apart from the fact that shooting models in the warehouse district is just plain cool, we were being led by a 4th generation master photographer who, at first, I assumed was the model.
We started shooting groom prep in the class room with our actual handsome model and eventually moved outside for the First Look between our faux lovers Lei Lani and Clint. They really made an adorable couple. At one point, Marceliano suggested we should encourage our brides to whisper something naughty in their grooms ear to elicit a fun surprised expression. As it turns out, Lei Lani took him seriously. I think Clint blushed.
Clint also made an excellent knight in shiny glasses. 4 inch heels made it hard to keep up!
This wall was my favorite place to shoot!
