One day, a person(s) that shall remain nameless, approached me with a plan to show Amanda what a remarkable inspiration she has become. You see, Amanda a fitness instructor, had decided to compete in the Southern USA Shannon Dey Classic Bodybuilding Competition. Her first ever. In 16 weeks, she dropped 10lbs, 11.5 inches and 12.5 % body fat. (Seriously??? I can gain that in a three day weekend.) Her transformation was amazing and her dedication is awe inspiring.
When Amanda and I met, she confessed she had been wanting to do a portrait session so we brainstormed on some unique locations. We decided to go for the dramatic. Our first session was at St. Andrews State Park where I probably shouldn’t have been climbing around the jetties with slip on shoes. I know for a fact I shouldn’t have worn a button down shirt cause I kept flashing the fish. My favorite images that day was from our session on the boardwalk. Amanda just looks so frickin good! It almost made me want to work out.
For our second shoot we headed downtown to PCMI. I have to give a big thanks to my friend Rusty at PCMI for letting us shoot there. By day PCMI is a school and during Halloween, its a haunted house. But for us, it was just the right amount of raw drama we needed to showcase Amanda’s rock solid physique.
Shortly after our sessions, competition day arrived. If Congeniality was a category, she would have won it hands down, but it wasn’t, so she had to settle for FIRST PLACE!!! Amanda aced her competition with First Place in Panama City Figure and Third Place in Novice Figure! She’s already begun training for the next competition, but frankly, she’s so on top her game, I just can’t imagine where she could possibly improve!
