I’m Amy. Wedding photog. Cake addict.
Lucky for me, these typically go hand in hand.
Yes, I admit I have a cake habit. That’s the first step, right? I’m also a plant killer. I don’t want to be, but it seems to be working out that way. I have a compost bin in the back yard and a vegetable garden. But since I can’t actually grow anything I get my veggies from the farmers market. If I had to rely on growing food for sustenance, I’d be a bona fide starving artist.
But I’m making efforts to be a greener me. Both as a photographer and person. For my business, I work from home and make every effort to maintain a paperless trail. I deliver images by digital download. Invoicing, marketing and bill paying is all electronic. I’m on a constant search for vendors that offer recycled Eco-friendly products and I keep my printed samples to a minimum. I dream of owning a hover craft fueled by trash that gets 100 miles per gallon but it hasn’t been invented yet.
So far, the real love of my life has been photography. Our romantic history began in 1997 with the impulse purchase of an old Yashica on a college road-trip. Although it was love at first click, it didn’t occur to me this could be a full time endeavor. So after years of shooting weekend weddings, magazines and musicians I finally decided to take this seriously.
Besides sweets, I value family and friends the most. I love to travel. I’m on my forth passport already. I also love to write so you can read about my shenanigans on the blog. I love good food (even good for me food) but I can’t cook. Unless cheesy bread counts.
So, that’s it, me in a nut shell. Well, you should probably know I have a history of singing off key with the radio. It can’t be helped, but audience participation is encouraged.

Props to my friends at Luft Creative and Aislinn Kate Photography for shooting the shooter!
