After a five hour drive into Altanta for the PPA expo, Robert and I decided to stretch our legs. We grab our gear and went for a walk in the park. I also wanted to see how long it would take us to walk to the expo since chances are our group would be dragging every morning. It took about 15 minutes without any pep in our step. We meandered down to Centennial Park and took hand-held timed exposure shots of trees, lights and the Goodie Burger sign until the need for food drove us to Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria. Quick Public Service Announcement: Eat Max’s pizza. You won’t regret it.

The staff there was friendly and didn’t mind when we begged to take pictures of them while waiting for our hand tossed work of art to come out of the oven. The place was packed to the brim with pizza lovers and after one bite, I could see why. Oh. My. Word. If I lived in Atlanta, Max would have to carve my name into my seat cause I would never leave that little place. Below are a few of my favorite shots from our walk about that first night. It was fun just shooting for me. I learned that if I took tons of shots, I can hold my breath long enough to get at least one in focus two second exposure. By the end of our trip I also learned the hotel had a free shuttle when hotel manager asked us why we didn’t use it. Oh great. I could have had 15 more minutes of sleep.
